A full-brother to GI Pat O'Brien S. hero El Brujo, the dark bay is a half-brother to SW Galadriel (Ascot Knight), who is responsible for GII Sorrento S. heroine and GI Del Mar Debutante S. third Concave (Colonel John) and SW & GSP Peisinoe (Yes It's True). His second dam is GII Black-Eyed Susan S. victress Dame Mysterieuse (Bold Forbes), who ran second in the GI Acorn S. Dutrow will also saddle Team D first-timer Positive Waves (Gemologist), who is a half-brother to Fantasy of Flight (Tiznow), who placed five times at the graded level. The bay, a half-brother to champion juvenile and red-hot Coolmore sire Uncle Mo (Indian Charlie), fired a half-mile bullet at Palm Beach Downs two works back and most recently breezed five panels in 1:02 4 (1/2) there Apr. 9. His dam, Playa Maya (Arch), was acquired by Coolmore in 2010 for $1.65 million during the FTKNOV in foal to Broken Vow. Fellow Pletcher trainee Robusto (Bernardini) bears the silks of Calumet Farm. A regular on the Palm Meadows worktab since late February, the $260,000 2015 KEESEP yearling is out of GIII Hendrie S. heroine Smart Surprise (Smart Strike), herself a half-sister to GI Breeders' Cup Mile scorer Court Vision (Gulch), MSW and GI Metropolitan H. third-place finisher Lord Snowdon (Seeking the Gold) and Hong Kong MSW Garcia Marquez (Gulch).
